Located in Thika, just an hour’s drive from the capital city Nairobi, is Simbi Roses farm. We began as a humble two-hectare farm in the middle of a large coffee plantation, but for the last 25 years both the passion for roses and the farm itself have expanded to over 30 hectares.
As has been captured in our name, we are a rose farm, propagating, growing and producing up to two hundred thousand stems a day for the international market. At present we have 25 varieties in our portfolio
At Simbi, we believe that one of our greatest assets are our people and our success is truly determined by their hard work and the support of the community around us. It is Simbi's belief that only through the growth of those around us, shall we too grow!
Sustainability in farming practices has always been a priority to us, especially in regards to our use of energy. It was therefore a great accomplishment for Simbi Roses to be able to incorporate the use of solar energy through a collaboration project with Ecologio. Through this solar instillation we are now producing enough energy for daily operations on the farm and in the pack house.
